Codigital believes it is important to protect and respect the privacy of registered users and visitors. The Site incorporates Codigital's Collaborative Evolution System™ (the "System"). The System is inherently interactive and the collaboration process and user experience is improved by the use of email notifications and other electronic communication regarding the progress of items and projects you are participating in, or have participated in. Generally, you may opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature.

This Privacy Policy covers Codigital's treatment of personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") that Codigital gathers when you register for, or access, the Site and when you use Codigital or the Site's services. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Codigital does not own or control, or to individuals that Codigital does not employ or manage.

  1. What Personal Information Does Codigital Collect?

Codigital may collect Personal Information including, but not limited to, your email address, username, password and your full name. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of some of the features or services of the Site.

Codigital gathers information from users of the Site to enable Codigital to personalize and improve our services, and to enable the interactive functionality of the Site (such as email and other electronic notifications regarding the progress of projects you are participating in, or have participated in).

  2. To track your contribution (voting and submitting items and edits) to projects you participate in;
  3. To communicate with you about the progress of items and edits that you have submitted (posted) and/or voted on on the Site, and the progress of projects you have participated in on the Site;
  4. To communicate with you about the progress of projects on the Site, whether or not you have participated in these projects;
  5. To invite you to participate in projects on the Site;
  6. To facilitate your experience on the Site;
  7. To make the Site easier for you to use by not having to enter information more than once;
  8. To help you quickly find information on the Site;
  9. To send you service-related announcements. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email; and,
  10. To alert you to special offers, updated information, and other new services from our company, affiliates and project sponsors.

  1. Email and Other Communications from Codigital

When you receive e-mail from Codigital, you can opt out of receiving further emails of that nature by going to the bottom of the email and clicking unsubscribe or following the instructions to modify your Settings so as not to receive certain types of emails from Codigital. In addition, you may deactivate your account in order to ensure that Codigital does not send you any emails.

  1. How Does Codigital Collect Personal Information?

Codigital may collect and store any information you enter on the Site or provide to us in any other way including the following:

Registration. In order to use the services, or some of the services, offered by the Site you may be required to register with the Site or Codigital. During the registration process, you are required to give certain information, including, but not limited to, your email address, username and password.

Usage and Log Files. As is true of most websites, the Site gathers certain information automatically and stores it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, exit pages, date/time stamps, movements around the site, and demographic information about the Site usage and our user base as a whole. This information may be used to diagnose technical problems or issues with the Site, or problems with your account, and to enhance your experience using the Site. We do not link this automatically collected data to your personally identifiable information.

Our advertising partners, who may set cookies, may deliver adverts appearing on the Site to users. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. Email Communications. We may receive a confirmation when you open an email from Codigital if your computer and/or email program supports this type of functionality. Codigital uses this confirmation to help determine the effectiveness of emails and to improve our email communication. We also may compare our user list to lists received from other companies, in an effort to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our users. When you receive e-mail from Codigital, you can opt out of receiving further emails of that nature by going to the bottom of the email and clicking unsubscribe or following the instructions to modify your Settings.

Information from Other Sources. For purposes such as improving the personalization of our service, we may receive information about you from other sources and add it to our account information. We also sometimes receive updated delivery and address information from our shippers or other sources so that we can correct our records and deliver your next purchase or communication more easily.

The Site may contain links to other websites on the Internet, and other websites may contain links to the Site. These other websites may not be under Codigital's control, and such links do not constitute an endorsement by Codigital of those other websites or the services offered through them. The privacy and security practices of websites linked to or from the Site are not covered by this Privacy Policy, and Codigital is not responsible for the privacy or security practices or the content of such websites. This Privacy Policy addresses only the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. If you disclose your information to others on the Site or other websites throughout the Internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them.

  1. Can Children Use Codigital Services?

The Site and the services available through Codigital are not normally intended for children under the age of 13 ("Children"). Codigital does not knowingly or specifically collect information about Children and believes that children of any age should get their parent's consent before giving out any personal information. We encourage you to participate in your child's web experience. Codigital recommends that parents use internet filtering technology to supervise their Children's' access to the Internet.

  1. Disclosure of Collected Information

You hereby consent to our disclosing your Personal Information for the following purposes:

Business Partners and Affiliate Businesses We Do Not Control. Codigital may outsource certain activities to our business partners and we may become affiliated with a variety of businesses and work closely with them. In certain situations, these businesses may sell items to you through the Site or fulfill services on behalf of Codigital. In other situations, Codigital may provide services or sell products jointly with affiliated businesses. We will share only such Personal Information as is required to facilitate such transactions with our business partners or affiliated business, and we will make every effort to ensure these businesses protect and refrain from disclosing your Personal Information to other third parties.

When required by Law. Codigital will cooperate with official law enforcement inquiries, such as fraud investigations and subpoenas, and will disclose your information when, in Codigital's sole opinion, Codigital deems it necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

In Aggregate. Our service automatically collects usage information, such as the numbers and frequency of visitors to our Site and its pages and components. Codigital only uses this data in aggregate form and not in a manner that would identify you personally. This type of aggregate data enables us to assess how often users visit parts of the Site or use particular services so that we can improve the Site and services. We may provide aggregate information to our partners (including project sponsors, advertisers and other third parties) about how our users, collectively, use our Site or services. We share this statistical data so that our partners understand how often people use the Site or services and so that they, too, may provide you with an optimal online experience. Moreover, if Codigital, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Codigital goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. Protection of Codigital and Others. We may release Personal Information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with the law; enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property or safety of Codigital, our employees, our users or others. With Your Consent. Except as set forth above, you will be notified when your Personal Information may be shared with third parties, and you will be able to prevent the sharing of this information.

Promotional Offers: We may send offers to you on behalf of other businesses. However, when we do so, we do not give the other business your name or email address. If you do not wish to receive these offers, please click unsubscribe at the bottom of the email, or follow the instructions to modify your Settings so as not to receive emails of this nature from Codigital.

You may access your Personal Information by logging in to your account and going to your Settings. The Settings page allows you to correct or update your personal information, or deactivate your account. When you update information, however, we often maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records.

Any registered user may opt-out (or opt-in) at any time from email and other electronic communications from the Site or Codigital by logging on to your account and modifying your Settings.

Users can opt not to disclose information, even though it may be needed to take advantage of certain features and services of the Site.

Codigital is committed to ensuring that your Personal Information is protected while you are on the Site. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, during transmission and once we receive it.

Your Codigital account Personal Information is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You need to ensure that there is no unauthorized access to your account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after use of the Site.

Codigital endeavors to protect user information to ensure that user account information is kept private; however, Codigital cannot guarantee the security of user account information.
